Yelegudgi Homestay is a traditional heritage home that has been passed on for many generations preserving some of the finest architecture and furnishings. At the Yelegudgi Homestay you can enjoy the peace and tranquility amidst vast stretches of coffee estates. Yelegudgi Homestay is just a short drive from the Chikmagalur Town, which is easily accessible from the major cities like Bangalore, Mangalore and Mysore.

    Our spacious open lounge is a welcoming place to relax with a good book, enjoy the freshness of the coffee aroma in the air, play games like badminton, carom and even go for an early morning trek or you could just enjoy the evenings with some freshly made snacks and beverages. Here we also serve our guests traditional Malnad breakfast, accompanied by a fresh fruit platter or fresh fruit juice and a delicious home produced coffee.

    All children are welcome!. All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing beds. Any children above 6 years are charged half per night and Any children or adult above 12 years are charged full per night.

I have quickly answered frequently asked questions during post and pre bookings. Some points to remember and taken care during your visit to Chikmagalur and its homestays and resorts.

    Bangalore to Chikmagalur distance is nearly 240Kms. And from there to homestay or resort it will take hardly 30 to 45 mins for newcomers.

    Traditional Malnad style buffet is served for all meals. Both veg and non-veg delicacies are provided for lunch and dinner.

    There are no restrictions on consumption of liquor and other beverages as long as things are under control and no damage is caused to the property and people.

    Light clothes (that can dry up quickly), warm clothes, rain coats, sun glasses, hats and umbrellas.If you are coming in a rainy season then we would recommend you to come with strap sandals that are tough enough for trekking and other adventurous activities. Cameras to capture the true memories. The route maps/guides and the contact details. Polythene bags to carry wet clothes (but please don't litter). BSNL is the most reliable network in the Western Ghats. Kindly carry a SIM if available.
